Job Description

Goldridge College invites applicants from suitably qualified individuals for the following posts
Job Title: ACCOUNTING OFFICER

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
Process the cash book by posting all receipts and payments daily using Pastel System.
Updates the daily cash balance book for the School Development Committees.
Input of student data and producing invoices termly.
Produce monthly bank reconciliation statements.
Allocates receipts and payments to the appropriate Nominal Ledger Accounts.
Process salaries and wages, including overtime, Leave pay, Pension, NSSA, levies and Medical Aid every month.
Reconcile accounts in preparation for the final accounts monthly.
Comply with Accounting procedures, institutional policies and procedures.
Receipting and Filing.
Assist the Accountants with budgeting and compilation of budgets including monitoring of budgets.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications:
Higher National Diploma in Accounting or an equivalent qualification.
Advanced knowledge of Pastel Accounting.
At least 5 years experience.
Skills needed:
The ideal candidate is a person that is confidential who meets all set deadlines.
