This member of the finance team serves a supporting role, assisting management with various financial and administrative duties.
• Handling and recording all cash transactions.
• Verify and post details about business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and total accounts to ledgers and databases, apportioning them into their rightful classes.
• Review and balance internal accounts, analyse variances, prepare reports, and monitor depreciable assets using financial software
• Prepare and interpret financial summaries and provide reports to managers on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
• Participate in month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of accounts.
• Ensuring that bills and purchases are correctly posted into the system.
• Issuing of weekly airtime to all employees
• Ensuring that the cash sale account is correct and giving a true reflection of funds prepaid and outstanding
• Any other duties as assigned by your superior.
• A diploma (or equivalent) in finance or accounting
• Two years of experience in clerical accounting
• Experience with financial planning software
• Work experience in the Motor industry an added advantage
