Job Description


Role Profile AFC Insurance, a subsidiary of AFC Holdings seeks to recruit an Accounting Assistant to provide support in the Accounting Department. Reporting to the Accountant, the successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of clerical accounting tasks within the department. We seek to recruit a self-motivated individual with a drive to "get things done" and the ability to demonstrate organisational and time management skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

Performing general ledger reconciliations.
Preparation of documents and processing of payments.
Preparing input into the company accounts and management accounts.
Assisting with internal and external audit.
Preparation of expenditure control reports and other ad hoc reports.
Updating of asset register and recording of all asset transfers.
Assist in preparation of IPEC reports and processing of statutory returns.

Qualifications and Experience


Diploma in Accounting, ACCA, CIS or LIMA.
Accounting Degree will be an added advantage.
1 to 2 years' experience in Finance in the Insurance Industry.
Excellent verbal, written, communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and problem solving skills.
Ability to follow policies, procedures and regulations.
