Job Description

Accurate and timeous reporting in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities
• International Financial Reporting Standards compliant statutory reporting.
• Preparation of IAS 29 — Financial Reporting in Hyperinflationary Economies accounts.
• Challenging existing financial models and scenarios.
• Technical accounting champion of the department.
• Preparation of standard Group reporting packs.
• Supporting the external audit function for both interim and final year end cycles.
• Annual budgeting.
• Working with other business units and areas as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications and Work Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• At least 3 years of experience in the Banking sector with at least 2 years’ relevant IFRS reporting experience.
• Experience with Group international reporting will be an added advantage.
• Keen knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Job Related Knowledge

• Well-rounded technical appreciation of International Financial Reporting Standards particular emphasis on IAS29 and IFRS 9 practical knowledge is key.
