Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger accounts and financial statements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions.
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure cash flow management for efficient operations.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT and corporate tax filings.
• Conduct monthly and year-end closing processes.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and oversee depreciation schedules.
• Identify areas for process improvement and financial efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification (ACCA) is an added advantage.
• At least [2] years of experience in accounting, preferably in a financial services or product finance company.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or other ERP systems).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
