Job Description
Claire-Soft Hygiene is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the position of Accountant for its 2 business divisions. The Accountant will manage core accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, statutory compliance, payroll processing, and financial controls across the organization.
The successful candidate will provide strategic financial leadership, strengthen internal controls, improve reporting systems, manage cashflows, oversee costing and profitability analysis, and ensure full statutory compliance within a fast-paced trading and retailing environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure accurate and timeous preparation of management accounts, budgets, cashflow forecasts, and statutory returns.
• Oversee reconciliations for banks, debtors, creditors, stock, and general ledger accounts.
• Drive accurate product costing and pricing analysis.
• Monitor profitability, margins, and operational efficiencies.
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with audit recommendations.
• Manage working capital, debt collection, and supplier payments.
• Ensure compliance with ZIMRA, NSSA, and other statutory obligations.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
ACCA, CIMA, CIS, or equivalent professional qualification will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 2 years’ accounting experience.
Proficiency in Pastel and Quick-books.
Strong reporting, reconciliation, and analytical skills.
Knowledge of taxation and statutory compliance requirements.
