Job Description
One of our clients is looking for an accountant who has completed their article training. The incumbent should be mature, presentable, well spoken and willing to work for long hours. The incumbent should be able to work with minimum supervision since it will mainly be remote working.
Duties and Responsibilities
Audit financial transactions and documents
Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
Comply with financial policies and regulations
Using the highest standards and practices to ensure financial documents comply with the law
Collecting and verifying financial information
Maintaining a general ledger by inputting daily financial transactions
Directing other employees and Junior Accountants
Help design, implement, and maintain internal audit procedures and risk assessment processes
Prepare audit findings, write audit reports, and develop recommendations
Ensure compliance with all applicable plans, policies, and standards
Stay current on industry trends, and best accounting and audit practices
Ensure accuracy of financial information
Follow up on audit recommendations
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Article qualified
Skills
3 years experience in financial accounting, auditing, or a combination thereof, preferably in public accounting
Strong understanding of accounting, banking laws, regulations, and internal controls
Sound understanding of audit theories, principles, and practices
Familiarity with general accounting practices and techniques
