Job Description

A vacancy has arisen within the finance department for the position of an Accountant.
The incumbent supports the functions of the Finance Department's Operations, reporting to the Head of Finance in pursuit of achieving the effectiveness and efficiency of running the department.

Duties and Responsibilities

The candidate will assume the following duties and responsibilities including but not limited to
Receipting and petty cash management
Performing bank reconciliations and ledger reconciliations Processing of payments and keeping Up to date cashbooks
Management of debtors
Reconciling creditors and preparing payments
Management of assets
Preparation of Monthly Management accounts
Preparation of financial statements
Budget preparation and management
Upholding internal procedures and assists with both internal and external audits
Processing payments and returns for statutory obligations
Performing any other duties delegated from time to time

Qualifications and Experience

We seek to recruit o candidate with the following credentials:
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
A professional accounting qualification
At least 5 years' experience as an Accountant in a public or private institution
Working knowledge of Belina Payroll system
Working knowledge of Sage Pastel
A high degree of honesty and integrity with no criminal record: and
A team player who is eager to learn and grow within the organization
