Job Description
Reports to the Finance Manager
Interacts with various stakeholders
Supervision of clerks
Duties and Responsibilities
• Preparation of financial statements,budgets, forecasts , analysis, commentaries , board packs and any other finance reports as required
• Treasury management - petty cash, loan applications, loan reports , banking
• fixed assets management , physical ( asset tagging , transfers, purchases) and electronic (Fixed asset register)
• Compliance regulations - Statutory returns and payments
• Internal controls administration
• Management of accounts receivable and payable ( reconciliations, aging, collections and payments)
• Mantaining a monthly audit file
• Biological Assets -Livestock reconciliations in sage evolution and tracking sites weekly reports
• Insurance management- Ensuring all relevant assets are insured and submission and tracking of all insurance claims and payments
• Inventory management -Responsible for physical stock counts of and inventory reconciliations for feed , consumables , stationery , chemicals etc
• Procurement function - requisitions and raising of purchase orders
Qualifications and Experience
• Must hold a Degree in Accounting
• 5 years minimum experience and at least 2 years in the agricultural sector
• Knowledge of pastel evolution and Microsoft excel proficiency
• Class 4 Drivers’ Licence.
A professional qualification such as ACCA/CIMA/CIS will be an added advantage.
