Title : Account Relationship Manager-Mining

Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals to fill the above-named position that has arisen in the Corporate & Institutional Banking Division, FBC Bank.
Duties and Responsibilities
Principal Accountabilities
• Analysing deposit trends and market data to identify new opportunities and risks to set and achieve deposit growth targets.
• Negotiating and structuring high-value deposit deals with mining clients to grow the mining portfolio
• Maintaining and growing customer relationships as well as identifying new business opportunities.
• Providing value-adding solutions to customers' financial needs by conducting regular mining project/ customer visits and keeping abreast of developments in mining and other industries.
• Marketing the Corporate Banking products and cross-selling all Bank products to potential customers in mining
• Conducting a risk analysis on all credit applications and providing relevant recommendations in support or
• Ensuring that all credit facilities made available to the Bank's clients are sound.
• Performing periodic financial analysis on customers' businesses and assessments of business and management.
• Monitoring account performance and facility utilization and producing routine reports required by the Bank.
• Attending to client concerns and providing recommendations on the action required.
• Ensuring compliance with covenants and terms of approval, credit policy, standing instructions and regulatory requirements through regular monitoring and reporting procedures.
• Keeping clients abreast with new RBZ directives that affect them.
• Improving the credit grade profile of all lending portfolio through regular intelligence monitoring.
• Ensuring that all securities and facility letters are lodged with the Group Credit Management Division within the prescribed time frames
Qualifications and Experience
Education and Experience
• A degree in Mining, Banking & Finance, Economics, Business Studies or related
• A post-graduate qualification such as an MBA.
• At least 5 years' working experience in a Corporate Banking environment with exposure in mining.
Competence And Skills
• An in-depth knowledge in advanced lending techniques, cash management and the Banks policies and procedures.
• Good understanding of the Bank's full range of products including structured finance and syndication deals.
• Appreciation of technology development, treasury products and marketing principles and practices.
• Expertise in credit restructuring, evaluation, pricing and presentation.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions.
• Effective communication skills.
Digital Skills
• Ability to evaluate risks digitally.
• Ability to use Business Intelligence tools for portfolio monitoring, covenant tracking and client profitability analysis.
• Proficient in advanced excel functions.
