PROCUREMENT OFFICER

PROCUREMENT OFFICER a (Based in Harare)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Identifies, appraises and recommends suppliers that meet the organisation's specifications. Requests for quotations for competitive bidding. Prepares purchase order confirmations for suppliers. Tracks all consignments against expected arrival dates; informing users about status and any deviations from expected dates of arrival. Follows up on the discrepancies/non-conformance between the delivery note and physical goods with the supplier and implements measures to avoid recurrence of quality issues. Ensures that all orders are placed using laid down procedures. Assists in the pre-bid meeting/ site meetings and participates in tender opening Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports. Ensures contract performance is in line with Procurement Policy and Procedures. Provides advisory and technical expertise to the to the Evaluation Committee. Assists the Department head in coming up with the Procurement Plan. Assists disposal of Assets in line with the PPDPA and policy.

Qualifications and experience required:
- Five 0' Levels including Maths and English - At least 2 A' Levels
A Degree in Purchasing and Supply CIPs or studying towards CIPS qualification
Experience in SAP or any other ERP will be an added advantage
At least 2 years' experience High integrity and professionalism
