The National Arts Council of Zimbabwe (NACZ) is an agency of Government charged with Development and Promotion and regulation of the Arts. Its functions are, to foster, develop and improve the knowledge, understanding and practice of the arts for the benefit all citizens as enshrined in the national Constitution. NACZ has responsibility to develop the Arts and to promote their access, presentation, performance, execution and exhibition throughout the nation. This entails steering the creative sector towards professionalisation so that it is structured to benefit practitioners, stakeholders and communities.
1. ASSISTANT DIRECTOR (Arts Development and Promotion )— ( 1 Post) DUTY STATION — Head Office reporting to Deputy Director.
Key Result Areas:
Coordination of talent search and nurturing programmes, Arts Development and promotion programmes, Keep abreast of current trends in the sector, research, benchmark, and implement best practices in the arts sector. Development of arts policies, procedures that encourage creativity and innovation.
Qualifications and knowledge:
University degree or equivalent qualification in a field related to the arts/culture/social sciences with a second degree being an added advantage. A mature person with knowledge of the arts and culture industry with a minimum of three (3) years experience in a managerial position. Must be computer literate and possesses a clean class four (4) driver's licence.
