Technical Manager - Gold Operations
A leading printing and refinery organization in Harare is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons for the above position.
The job includes:
• Developing and maintaining gold processing and refining plans to ensure optimum recoveries to the organisation.
• Manage refinery resources in a way that optimises output and profitability of the organisation.
+ Monitor and supervise gold refining processes and make timeous interventions in order to achieve results and/ or targets in a cost effective manner
+ Continually improve refining processes through research and development and process data analysis in order to achieve the organisation's set objectives.
+ Provision of infommtion/ statistics/reports to relevant stakeholders as required from time to time.
+ Represent the organisation in matters relating to gold refining so as to ensure effective and efficient communication with all supply chain players.
+ Develop and implement procedures or systems to evaluate gold refining processes that ensure the creation of value for the organisation.
+ Monitoring all contractual obligations through the initiation of and participating in meetings, activities, projects and other interventions with other players in the gold supply chain, and contribute to key decision-making processes to ensure compliance with agreed requirements as detailed in the contracts, to achieve projected Large Scale Miners' gold deliveries. Ensuring compliance with the Responsible Gold Guidance of the World Gold Council.

Person specifications:

The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications and experience
• First degree in Mining, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Geology or Applied Chemistry.
+ Minimum five years' experience in a mining enviromnent.
• Experience in a gold production environment would be and added advantage.
+ Ability to interact with Government institutions and possession of knowledge of the legislation governing gold mining and trade in Zimbabwe.
