Background and Purpose
Welthungerhilfe is one of the largest German non-governmental organisations in the area of development co-operation and emergency relief. Primarily in co-operation with local partner organisations, its task to contribute to improvement in the nutritional and income basis for the low-income populations in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Welthungerhilfe has been implementing projects in Zimbabwe almost continuously since 1980. Sector focus is on, WASH, Food and Nutrition security, Livelihoods and when necessary Emergency response. The project objective of to support vulnerable households in Gokwe South to meet their basic food and nutrition security needs and increase their resilience to future environmental and economic shocks. These positions will be filled subject to the approval of funding.

Job Purpose
To provide project data inputting services and generation of distribution registers.

Specific tasks and responsibilities
Data Processing: Inputting data received from the field teams onto the project database; Maintaining systems for data backup, recovery and verification; Recording, filing and retrieval of data files and reports.

Distribution Register Generation: Data cleaning and management of database; On a monthly basis, print out distribution registers; Filling of signed registers and archiving of the registers; Update database as and when new information on beneficiaries come in especially from verification exercises.

Confidentiality: Ensuring the non-disclosure of any information whatsoever relating to the practices and business of WHH, acquired in the course of duty, to any other person or organisation without authority, except in the normal execution of duty.

Other duties: Other duties that may from time to time be requested by the Logistician or Project Manager and/or their delegate.

Required Skills and Experience
At least 2 years’ experience in database management; Knowledge of extracting data from Akvo Flow or Kobo applications is mandatory; A relevant tertiary qualification will be an added advantage; Very good command of MS excel and MS access; Effective communications skills and ability to work for long hours at times of the project cycle.
