The Zimbabwe Council of Churches is a faith based non-profit and non-governmental organisation which envisions a united, peaceful, just and prosperous Zimbabwe through its ecumenical fellowship, humanitarian, development and advocacy work. The organization seeks to recruit a dynamic, innovative and passionate individual to occupy the post of Monitoring and Evaluation Officer.
As part of the Senior Programmes team, the MBA Officer is expected to undertake the following major responsibilities;
o Develop and support the Implementation of a robust results framework M&E Plan for all Council programmes/projects, including indicator selection, target setting, reporting, database management, and developing M&E and/ performance monitoring plans.
o Develop and support the utilization of results driven M&E tools, guidelines and manuals, for effective monitoring, evaluation and reporting
o Utilize the collaborative, learning and adapting approach to continually assess progress against the Council's results framework with a view to inform project management decision-making
o Create and maintain a dynamic data collection, collation, storage, analysis, and reporting system with a view to consistently develop and present a comprehensive picture of the Council's outcome level results and impacts.
o Provide leadership in managing contractual relationships with Development Partners and reporting, working closely with all Council structures in preparing high-quality integrated reports for submission to development partners and Governance structures.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
o Minimum of 5 years' professionai experience in senior or management position responsible for managing organizational monitoring and evaluation portfolio,
o Relevant university degree in related field (statistics; development; project management; demographics; economics or any other related qualification). Masters degree or additional training in research, monitoring and evaluation, database management or proposal writing an added advantage
o Proven track record of success in designing, implementing, managing and coordinating effective M&E systems.
o Practical knowledge and understanding of major evaluation methodologies and proficiency in the we of tec-enabled data collection and analysis programs e g. SPSS, STATA etc
o Experience in developing and implementing M&E and/performance monitoring plans
o Experience in designing and managing capacity building plans to enhance internal M&E capabretes_
o Experience and coordinating and supporting externally managed evaluations.
