This opportunity has arisen within the Biomedical Research and Training Institute, Harare.

Responsibilities
Attract young people to services; Perform HIV testing; Supply contraception on subsequent visits; Supply and demonstrate condom use; Facilitate community ART groups; Assist research nurse and counselor; Ensure supply of commodities; Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Training, Skills, Experience and Characteristics Required
A degree /diploma, social sciences or psychology degree, degree/diploma in social work; Driver’s license is an added advantage for the Community Health Worker; Certificate in Rapid HIV testing; Able to relate well with young people; Excellent communication skills; Enthusiastic and friendly; Tolerant, and non-judgmental; Demonstrated ability to discuss sensitive HIV, SRH and other sensitive issues eg mental health, substance use with young people; Familiar with local communities where research is being conducted; Previous research experience; Able to work under minimal supervision and complete protocol forms; Flexibility in hours of work
