DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES
Applicants must possess:
i. A minimum of a Masters degree in technical services, Infrastructural Development, Real Estate and Facilities Management.
ii. A minimum of five years experience as a Facilities or Real Estate Manager or Lecturer in Facilities or Real Estate Management.
The Facilities and Infrastructure Manager will provide independent assessments and recommendations on the quality of buildings, teaching venues, laboratories and staff offices' environments and make necessary follow-ups for corrective plans where necessary. The Facilities and Infrastructure Manager will closely liaise and coordinate with the Department of Works and Estates and the Safety, Health and Environment Health Manager to ensure the systems support the core business of the University.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Facilities and Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for:
i. Designing a quality assurance plan and assessment system to monitor the maintenance of buildings to ensure they meet internal and
external accreditation standards.
ii. Carrying out periodic reviews of the quality of infrastructure and equipment in research and teaching laboratories and workshops.
iii. Supervising the implementation of facilities and services' Standard Operating Procedures.
iv. Producing periodic quality assurance reports as required.
v. Ensuring that facilities are appropriate for international guests, staff and students.
vi. Any other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Director.
