Deputy Director who shall assist the Director to lead the operations team of the organisation in pursuit of its mandate. The successful applicant will be expected to assist in the provision of transformative leadership that will revitalise the Nation.
Arts Council turn it into a viable entity and grow in its capacity to revamp the ads and culture sector so that it can realize its potential as a pillar for socio-economic development. Reporting to the Director, the Deputy Director will be based of NACZ Head Office in Harare. This appointment is not on a fixed term basis.

Job Purpose

To effectively mobilize and manage material human and financial resources and to lend the Programming Deportment of the Arts Council In order to enable it to fulfil its mandate and vision as stipulated in the NACZ Act and the Strategic Plan.

Duties and Responsibilities

Implementation of NACZ programmes, projects and activities. Strategy Development and implementation.
Supervision of strategic and other key plans of the Council.
Supervise the implementation of the Integrated Performance Management system for the Council.
Transform the Arts Council into o net revenue generator and financial contributor to the development of the arts and culture sector.
Coordinate the production of NACZ publications. General supervision of Departments and sections of the Council.
Establish effective national and international networks for the purposes of marketing and growing the arts for the benefit of practitioners and consumers.
The Person
The Deputy Director must be a strategic thinker and team leader who is dynamic, innovative and self-motivated. Intimate knowledge of the arts and culture sector is essential. Other attributes that are important for this senior management position are excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and very good marketing, networking and negotiation skills. Demonstrable experience in strategic planning corporate governance and innovative management is essential.

Qualifications and Experience

A University, degree in Administration, Arts or Social Sciences A post-graduate qualification will be on added advantage.
• Experience in Marketing and Resource Mobilization is a requirement
• At least 3 years' experience at senior management level.
• Computer literacy.
• A clean driver's licence.
