Job Description
The incumbent shall be responsible to competently officiate all the logistically issues pertaining cross border, local and intercompany transport services through implementing and delivering transport solutions to the Group of companies.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Implementing and delivering transport solutions to the Group of companies.
• Making sure all fleet vehicles are properly maintained.
• Inspecting vehicles for overloading, damages, working conditions and report accordingly to the Procurement Head.
• Arranging for all the fleet vehicle repairs and routine maintenance.
• Ensuring that all drivers and operators have the correct and up to date qualifications.
• Maintaining and completing related records accurately to include logs regarding the total distance which is travelled by the vehicles.
• Keeping and monitoring approved work schedules and organising team members.
• Keeping up to date and proper inventory of all vehicles and perform daily checks on the same.
• Allotting, monitoring and supervise all the responsibilities and tasks allotted to drivers including ensuring safe parking of the vehicles.
• Processing tollgate fees, book out and parking fees for the drivers.
• Ensuring that all certificate of fitness, insurances and licenses of the vehicles are renewed on time.
Qualifications and Experience
• Degree in Transport and Logistics or Advanced Diploma in Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.
• At least 3 years experience in a similar role.
• Proven track record with no criminal record.
• Knowledge of customs clearing procedures and Automated System for Custom’s Data (ASYCUDA).
• Knowledge of Cross Border Trucks Management.
• A team player with excellent organisation and interpersonal skills.
• Clean Drivers Licence.
