TECHNICIANS x 12
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities
To supervise all laboratory practicals.
To assist students with their projects and staff with their research and field projects.
To oversee training, duties and leave for Technical and Cleaning staff.
To purchase, issue consumables and annual equipment inventories.
To monitor departmental funds/budgets and semester requirements.
To be responsible for storage, maintenance, repairs and security of equipment and buildings, in liaison with the relevant University of Zimbabwe Departments.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications, Experience and Attributes
Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field or equivalent.
Have at least five (5) years relevant experience in a Laboratory at a University.
Knowledge of University communication systems in relation to the incumbent’s duties is an added advantage.
Be prepared to work after hours.
