Job Description

Carry out testing on a variety of samples including manufactured finished goods, raw materials and/ ingredients

Duties and Responsibilities

• Carry out testing on a variety of samples including manufactured finished goods, raw materials and/ ingredients
• Evaluation and validation of test methods
• Implementation and maintenance of the laboratory management system in compliance to ISO/IEC 17025
• Test reports compilation
• Participate in inter – laboratory comparison tests including Proficiency testing
• Participate in standards development as a technical expert

Qualifications and Experience

 National Diploma in Chemistry or equivalent
 At least 2 years post qualification experience in a testing laboratory
 Instrumentation technics a must (ICP-OES, UV-vis, XRF, Bomb Calorimeter)
 Computer literate
 BSc. Hon. Chemical Technology, Applied Chemistry or equivalent is an added advantage
 Knowledge and application of ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory management system in a testing laboratory is an added advantage
 A clean class 4 Driver’s license is an added advantage
