PART J: DEPARTMENT OF PUBLICATIONS

1. TECHNICAL EDITOR (2 POSTS)

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities:
 Reviewing, editing and proof-reading books, manuscripts, articles, magazines, journals, papers, and related documents, involving highly specialized scientific, and/or non-English language up to camera-ready-copy.
 Working in conjunction with Acquisition Editors, researchers and authors/writers to help maintain and produce accurate content.
 Creating or adhering to a style guide, formatting document layouts and helping design graphics and select art for the publications.
 The Technical Editor may perform technical tasks such as page-layout and image-embedding.
 Knowledge and experience in digital publishing/e-publishing and strong editorial, collaboration and organizational skills.
 Any other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications and Experience


Desired Qualifications and Experience
 A Bachelor’s Degree in Publishing or related field
 Experience in digital publishing and/or e-publishing is a distinct advantage
 Prior copy-editing experience a must
 Two years working experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified above.
