Teaching Assistant – Optometry Department (2 Posts)
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate should be able to: Conduct clinical follow up of students; carry out tutorials for courses offered in the department; marking assignments and examinations; organising and participating in departmental extension services; maintenance of teaching laboratories (simulated ward); carry out research and teaching certain Optometry courses under supervision.

The applicants must have 5 ‘O’ Level subjects including English Language, Science and Mathematics, BSc in Optometry degree with at least a 2.1 class attained within the last 2 year and at least 2 years post qualification experience working in a hospital or an eye clinic. Teaching experience at a tertiary institution is an added advantage. The candidate should be registered with the Pharmacist Council of Zimbabwe and must have a current Practising Certificate.
