Job Description

The Supply Chain Administrator (SCA) will ensure that the organization has the resources it needs to operate effectively and efficiently to reduce costs, improve quality and increase customer satisfaction. The SCA will be in charge of every stage of the organization’s supply chain, from purchasing raw materials to production. They will coordinate, organize, and oversee all activities involved in the identification, acquisition, production, and distribution of the firm’s goods. This

Duties and Responsibilities

resource is under the supervision of the Finance Manager.
Sourcing
 The resource will identify potential suppliers for goods and services from local and international suppliers including but not limited to:
 Seed
 Fertilizer
 Sprays
 Day old chicks
 Animal Feed
 Consumables
 Worker gear
 Fuel
 Packaging material
 Keeping abreast of industry trends and seeking new markets to procure key supplies
Procurement
 The SCA is responsible for the actual purchase of goods and services from the chosen supplier.
 This involves issuing purchase orders,
 negotiating payment terms, and
 managing the delivery of goods or services in accordance with operation requirements in the most economical way.
 Reconciling and resolving order discrepancies with suppliers.
Supply chain management
 Managing the transportation of key raw materials and inputs as well as finished goods for the farming operations whether using own fleet or sub-contracting.
 Warehousing management including management of stock items such as seeds being kept at nurseries.
 Inventory management – working with the stocks clerk to ensure stocking levels are appropriate.
Overseeing stock usage versus forecast and establishing re-ordering levels.
 Managing any required permits for moving goods
 Managing any rebates

Qualifications and Experience

At least 2 - 3 years of traceable experience in a similar role
Proven work experience in Procurement, Sourcing, or Supply Chain or similar role
Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
Organised and able to work to deadlines
Good team player
Should be based in Mutare
