Stores Controller
Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensuring security of all store rooms.
• Receiving and issuing of fish, chicken and other cold meats.
• Issuing out stocks in terms of the laid-out procedures.
• Inspect all received items from all suppliers and ensure that they agree to the
purchase order or payment.
• Ensuring that bin cards are available for all stock and non-stock items under the stores custody.
• Ensure that bin cards reconcile to stocks every time and in particular at month end.
• Do daily, weekly, monthly and annual stock counts.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly stock reports and usage analysis as required by the Supervisor.
• Requesting stocks both saleable and consumables in the system
• Processing stock transfers in the system
• Capturing, checking grvs and invoicing vendors in the system
• Maintain an accurate bin card for each branch or storage warehouse
• Maintain a weekly/monthly stock valuation/ reconciliation report
• Ensure goods are issued on FIFO basis
• Be able to implement sound inventory management systems
Qualifications and Experience
The Person
Aspiring candidates must meet the following requirements:
• 5 “O” Levels including English and Mathematics.
• HND in Stores Management.
• Working knowledge of Navision a must.
• Minimum of 3yrs experience in a similar position
