Job Description

Social Work Program Assistant- Kwekwe, Plumtree, Masvingo and Buhera (Indicate preferred district in the Subject line)

Duties and Responsibilities

Main Purpose of the Job:
Assisting with implementation of Child Protection and Disability activities in allocated district through actively providing preventive and responsive Child Protection Services and facilitating linkages with the National Case Management System (NCMS). Key deliverables will include assisting in case management processes, conducting needs assessments, developing quality case plans, compiling case plan summaries and service checklist for all clients, tracking the implementation of the case plans and updating the case files for children with disabilities according to NCMS guidelines. Other deliverables include assisting in mobilizing and facilitating community outreach activities on disability and child protection.
Duties and Responsibilities
Project Implementation
• Supporting the roll out of the case management processes from case intake to case closure
• Assist in organizing and actively participating in case plan development meetings
• Assist in providing Psychosocial support services to vulnerable children with disabilities and families
• Assist Children with Disabilities and their families to access justice services
• Assist in the mentorship of community cadres
• Assisting with the support of broader organizational activities in child protection, disability and sexual and reproductive health and rights
• Documentation of beneficiary information and record keeping as guided by the NCMS
Administrative and Other Duties:
• Assist with case intake, assessments, care plans, reviews and documentation according to organizational requirements
• Routine project documentation including narrative and statistical reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualification, Knowledge and Skills Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work.
• Registered with the Council for Social Workers in Zimbabwe
• Should be able be highly productive with minimal supervision
• Should be computer literate (Microsoft word and excel).
• Should be a team player
• Should have good communication skills
• Should be flexible to work weekends and after hours and to be on call in emergencies
