Involves carrying out testing on a variety of samples including manufactured finished goods, raw materials and/ ingredients in a Laboratory.
• Select and appraises test/ analytical methods;
• Carry out test method appraisal and validation
• Carry out testing on a variety of samples including manufactured finished goods, raw materials and/ ingredients
• Implementation and maintenance of the laboratory management system in compliance to ISO/IEC 17025
• Test reports compilation and evaluation of quality of reports
• Participate in inter – laboratory comparison tests including Proficiency testing
• Participate in standards development as a technical expert
BSc. Hon. Food Science or equivalent
At least 3 years post qualification experience in a testing laboratory
Instrumentation technics a must (ICP-OES, UHPLC, GC-MS, UV-vis, XRF)
Computer literate
Good communication skills
Knowledge and application of ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory management system in a testing laboratory is an added advantage
Knowledge of laboratory information management systems is an added advantage
A clean class 4 Driver’s license is an added advantage
