Duties and Responsibilities

The role - what we expect from you:
 Proactively maintain regular engagement with key client contacts in line with client expectations.
 Understand the market situation and availability of new technology, conduct market analysis and propose enhancement recommendations for implementation.
 Create an Omni-channel network for all digital channels ensuring a seamless cross- channel customer experience.
 Establish an open banking system in collaboration with third-party payment service providers (TPPSP) to offer value added services that go beyond financial services.
 Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve target project results.
 Facilitate market disruption through new payment options such as digital wallets, social media banking, and wearables.
 Create low cost quality network agnostic channels that increase volume of transactions and achieve competitive advantage.
 Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for senior management.
 Develop capabilities around distinctive customer experience, revenue growth, acquisition, retention, cross-sell opportunities, and cost savings through digital channels technology.
 Provide utility Banking through entering new distribution channels that ensure the Bank is at the centre of all transactions thereby increasing deposits.
 Increase the Bank’s market share of retail deposits as well as enhance service delivery to existing customers by offering innovative digital payment solutions.
 Collaborate with, coordinate and train diverse teams to grow the business through innovative and exciting delivery channels.
 Champion the capability of delivery channels with internal stakeholders and deliver compelling technology and business cases for expansion backed by CBZ and industry data.
 Build meaningful and sustainable relationships with business teams across client segment managers, product, and sales and service support managers and other technology partners to optimize on opportunities.
 Ensure that the team understands that the organization`s profits are reflected in all its operations- including relationships and risk management.
 Contribute to training and development of the team.
 Delegate authority and responsibility to the team with supervision, accountability and review.
 Recommend and develop risk management frameworks for identifying and managing risks emanating from the use of digital platforms and technology used by the Bank as delivery channels.
 Develop and implement a robust Risk Management Plan for the department and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures in order to mitigate risks.
 Lead a team which delivers a digital channel technology platform for world class digital customer experience for clients across the CBZ group.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications, Skills and experience required:
 A Degree in Banking and Finance, Business, Marketing or similar from a reputable tertiary institution
 A full Professional qualification is essential
 A post graduate qualification, i.e. MSc, MBA or similar would be an added advantage
 At least 5 years’ experience working preferably in a similar role within the Banking sector
 Good understanding of and passion for technology driven banking products and services
 Good leadership, presentation and interpersonal skills
 Good analytical skills
 Sound working knowledge of System Analysis and Design
 Sound Project Management skills
 Sound Marketing and Selling skills
