Job Description

To support the Federation Humana People to People and its member associations in Financial planning, control and review of budgets, analysis of financial reports, members’ income generating activities and projections. Provide capacity building and technical support.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide the following support services to the Federation HPP and its member associations.
1. Financial planning:
Preparing budgets and budget summaries, preparation of multiyear projections, projects’ or country specific plans and projections and oversee cashflow planning and control.
2. Economic analysis
Prepare economic statuses for the Federation, members’ income generating projects analysis, overall analysis of members’ financial and economic health and status
3. Problem solving
Provide solutions to financial issues and issues in income generation to the Federation and member associations
4. Assist in:
a) Members’ economic functionality and capacity building
b) Federation’s accounts and economy
c) Coordination of donations between member associations.
d) Governance and compliance issues.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance plus a Professional accounting qualification such as CA, ACCA or CIMA. A Masters’ Degree in a Commercial discipline, as well as articles training is an added advantage.
• Mature person with strong analytical skills who also possess excellent management and organizational and analytical skills, critical thinking and attention to detail.
• Excellent computer skills, including, Excel and Word skills.
• Good report writing skills with ability to produce reports on complex issues which are to the point, easily to read and understandable.
• Excellent verbal and written English communications skills.
Experience
• Minimum of 5 years’ demonstrated experience in financial administration at middle to senior management level in a big organization.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience, preferably in a commercial enterprise in business process analyses such as budgeting, cash flow planning, financial performance key indicators, production and financial results analysis and multiyear business plans.
• Preferable international experience or experience from a local affiliate of an international organization
• Hands on experience and ability to train/mentor others in financial planning and analysis.
