Job Description
Performs responsible technical and skilled work in the inspection,diagnosis,maintenance and repair of all pumps and components.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist in the inspection,diagnosis and repairworks on all pumps and components such as the motor and valves.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on pumps,engines and components .
• Disassemble,inspect,repair and reassemble different types of pumps and components.
• Examine pumps for possible malfunction and find the wear or damage.
• Perform repairs,rebuilds and overhauls of pumps and their components.
• Checking and lubricating bearings, gear boxes, checking and replacing filters, cleaning out wet wells, packing pumps, mowing and other preventative maintenance activities.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
• Certificate in Hydraulic Pumps and Components.
• Considerable knowledge of the installation, repair, and maintenance of pumps and their components.
• Ability to detect malfunctioning of pumps and motors by observation, sound, and chart readings.
• Considerable knowledge of the tools, parts and methods associated with diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining equipment.
• Mature person with 2 years’ experience in the same position.
• 5 O levels including Mathematics and English will be an added advantage
• A team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under minimum supervision.
