Job Description

Our client who is into motor spares retailing is looking to hire someone to assist the sales person. One should be familiar with motor spares, to ensure the efficient picking, binning, re-ordering and stock take of parts. To correctly identify parts using the EPC and restock levels using SAGE Evolution and excel. Responsibilities will include. Receive parts enquiries from workshops and over the counter customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive job cards from technicians, identify parts required off the EPC system.
• Check SAGE Evolution for available parts, pick and allocate available parts.
• Parts must be allocated to technician working on the vehicle.
• Pack the goods into appropriate cartons, boxes, plastic bags using the correct packing material.
• Write out part numbers onto job cards at the time of allocation.
• Complete handwritten parts requirement list if not available ex stock.
• If parts are locally available, Parts Assistant to obtain quotes to be authorized by Parts Controller.
• Parts not available locally to be given to Parts Administrator / Parts Controller who will source parts.
• Physically check supplier invoices against purchase orders (generated by Parts Administrator), to be signed as confirmation that all is in order.
• Work with Parts Controller to ensure correct stock levels are maintained.
• Be responsible for the security of the parts.
• Rolling stock takes will be required on a bi-weekly basis. Full stock take will be done twice a year at the discretion of the Parts Controller
