Job Description
The position of a Quality Control Chemist has arisen within Petrolab Services and hereby invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to apply.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure received samples are logged in, tested ,reported and commented on within the stipulated turnaround time.
Manage validity of results through quality charts, inter-laboratory tests, calibration of equipment and testing of reference materials.
Train and manage recruited technicians and interns.
Maintain standard and quality of laboratory procedures by strictly following the SOPs.
Ensure adherence to equipment maintenance schedule and operate equipment appropriately following SOPs.
Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
BSc Honours degree in Chemistry/Applied Chemistry.
2 years experience working experience.
Experience in AAS operation and water testing procedures.
Experience in analytical quality control and quality assurance.
Excellent analytical, multitasking and critical thinking skills.
Conversant with QC charts and interpretation
Self motivated while working with minimal supervision.
