Job Description

The incumbent’s primary focus will be digital and social media management. Working under the supervision of the Public Relations Manager. The candidate will contribute to the development of digital and social media strategies that will increase the commission’s visibility and awareness of its mandate and activities

Duties and Responsibilities

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop and implement social media guidelines, systems and procedures to enhance the Commissions communications with its stakeholders
• Contribute to the development of IPEC digital and social media strategy and taking the lead on implementation
• Monitor, analyse and evaluate the effectiveness of the Commissions engagement on social media
• In consultation with Public Relations manager or appropriate department, respond to all social media enquiries and comments
• Create, edit and post high impact multimedia content, including graphics photos and short videos on the website and social medias sites
• Train colleagues on effective social media usage
• Assist in planning and execution of public relations activities and
• Support stakeholder relationship management

Required Knowledge, Skills and Attributes
• Proven experience, producing, editing and disseminating digital and social media content in professional environment
• Understanding of Public relations and marketing concepts and practices
• Excellent Communication and Writing Skills
• An analytical mind with attention to detail

Qualifications and Experience

• A first degree in Marketing, Communications Journalism or related degree
• Having a relevant post graduate Qualification in Digital Marketing will be an added advantage
• At least 3 years experience
• Experience working in FMCG sector is an added advantage
