JOB SUMMARY Responsible for planning, implementing, co-coordinating and monitoring drugs supply and distribution at provincial level.
1. Works with Provincial Health Executive and NatPharm to schedule essential medicines and medical supplies (including HIV/AIDS, TB, Reproductive Health, Malaria, Nutrition etc.) commodity deliveries to service delivery points (SDPs) in the province. 2. Ensures availability of medicines and supplies throughout the province as per national targets. 3. Provides technical supervision to district and hospital pharmacy managers. 4. Produces medicines related reports for the province as required by the PHE, programmes and Directorate of Pharmacy Services. 5. Develops and maintains collaborative working relationships with NatPharm, development partners and all PSM stakeholders in the province including government departments and parastatals. 6. Implements effective stock control and management measures in accordance with national guidelines. 7. Quantifies provincial requirement for commodities and monitors the procurement of medicines and supplies.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Degree/Diploma in General Nursing 2. A post basic qualification in nursing or midwifery 3. At least 2 years' experience as a Senior Registered General Nurse. 4. Applicants should be registered with the Nurses Council of Zimbabwe and in possession of a valid practising certificate.
