Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the production of statistical returns and reports at defined intervals and within given time scales, collecting all district, mission and council hospitals and clinics activity throughout the province to support the National Health Services.
Duties and Responsibilities
2. Assists managers in identifying their information needs and provides an effective statistical analysis and presentation service to support management effort. 3. Detects disease outbreaks through the rapid notification system or the routine information system and ensures co-ordination of such among the relevant managers. 4. Ensures effective medical records systems are in place throughout the province, producing documents on policies and procedures to be used by managers at different levels of health delivery system ensuring patient care and confidentiality is supported through effective records keeping systems. 5. Sets standards and targets for data collection and meeting national requirements, ensuring implementation of the same throughout the province while monitoring the achievement of set standards and targets. 6. Develops close links with medical records and information staff throughout the province and provides consistent support, through the development of a provincial information strategy to ensure direction and involvement. 7. Trains, co-ordinates and supports health workers.
Qualifications and Experience
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
1. Degree/Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing 2. Degree/Diploma in Nursing Administration is a requirement. 3. Any other Post Basic qualification would be an added advantage. 4. At least two years of experience as Sister/Male-In Charge. 5. Applicants should be registered with the Nurses Council of Zimbabwe and in possession of a valid practising certificate.
