Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the aforementioned position that has arisen within the Conservation and Extension Division.
Provincial Forestry Extension Manager (12 Months Contract)
Duties and Responsibilities
Person Specification
Must nave oracle& work experience of at least three (3) years in the Forestry and Natural Resources
Management.
Must have demonstrable skills in supervision of staff.
Must have a strong and confident personally to be able to coordinate forest development programmes at provincial level.
Must be able to collaborate effectively with all stakeholders including serval provincial government
officials.
Key Result Areas
Preparation and implementation of both extension and regulatory aspects of forestry extension progammes n the province.
Ensuing optimal deployment and maintenance of all Forestry Commission assets and resources in the
province.
Draw up strategies for effective delivery of forestry extension services and regulation of forest resources.
Identification, implementation and monitoring of lucrative revenue generation streams to generate revenue to finance Forestry Commission operations.
Identification and facilitation of effective collaboration with other government agencies, NGOs and private
sector organizations whose activities are complimentary to forestry extension within the province.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications
BSc degree in Forestry and Natural Resources or equivalent or;
A diploma in Forestry, Natural Resources or equivalent plus at least three (3) yeas of practical work experience at managerial level.
CA clean class 4 Driver's License is a must.
