Job Description
Reporting to the Production Supervisor
Appreciation of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in the Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing Sector
Supervision of packers ensuring that set packaging targets are met in line with the cGMP
Receiving packaging materials from stores ensuring proper and complete documentation.
Duties and Responsibilities
1 Supervision of packers ensuring that set packaging targets are met in line with cGMP
2 Packaging material requisition, receiving and verifying quantities of packaging materials from stores ensuring proper and complete documentation.
3 Ensure thorough cleaning and disinfection procedures of packaging materials as per relevant SOPs are strictly adhered to.
4 Ensure that that the packing area and all packing processes and procedures have been checked and approved by Quality Control.
4 Maintain quality of product at the packing line by accurately filling products, tightly closing containers, preventing cross contamination, accurately and correctly labelling products and where possible detect defects e.g. discolored bulk, dirty containers, misprinted labels defects in closures and containers among others at the packing line. Defects should be promptly reported to the shift supervisor.
5 Maintaining good personal hygiene and practicing good sanitation in accordance with the relevant SOPs and GMP.
6 Maintaining good housekeeping and cleanliness at all times at the working area.
7 Religiously follow SOP's and GMPs applicable to your area of work.
8 Punctuality, honesty and due diligence at the work place and subordinating oneself to senior authority and the company's rules and regulations.
9 Adhere to production systems and controls and be accountable for any thefts occurring during the shift.
10 Acquaint oneself and master all relevant SOP's and GMP requirements in your area.
11 Any other duties assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
• 5 0'level passes with Math's and English and 3 A level passes
• Mature person with no criminal record
• 4 or more years’ experience in product packing and labelling especially in a Pharmaceutical environment.
