Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced, self-motivated and task oriented individuals to fill the above position that have arisen within the Production Department in one of our Strategic Business Unit (Nash Furnishers)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Planning, controlling and monitoring production while respecting quality standards and production
• Engaging employees and maintaining a favorable working atmosphere to achieve intended objectives
• Participating daily in production meetings and activities
• Working with various departments within the company for various projects
• Identifying source of slowdowns of the production chain and rectifying the challenges
• Promoting and maintaining a culture of health and safety
• Documenting employee records and conducting performance evaluations
• Assessing workforce needs, and maintaining versatility within team
• Training and integration of new employees
• Keeping track of procedures and working methods with employees
• Responsible for new product development in collaboration with the designers

Qualifications and Experience

• Highest qualification in carpentry and joinery or relevant
• A business management related degree will be an added advantage
• 3 years of experience in furniture manufacturing environment
• Leadership, communication skills and mobilization
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Must respond well under stress and pressures of manufacturing environment
• Enthusiasm, flexibility and organizational skills
• Analytical and problem resolutions skills
• Autonomy and innovative
• Must be able to work with a sense of urgency and work with strict timelines
• Availability to work additional hours
• Must be able to communicate in English
