The following positions have arisen within the City of Bulawayo
• Collaborates with key stakeholders in identifying procurement needs relative to projects undertaken. • Develops draft Procurement Schedules of projects undertaken. • Evaluates Supplies (Vendor evaluation). • Identifies potential vendors, gathers and analyses information and recommends prospective vendors to the Procurement Manager. • Prepares vendor contracts and negotiates terms with vendors. • Obtains cost estimates for goods and services. • Maintains records of approved suppliers and periodically evaluates vendor performance. • Sits in the Procurement Management Committee. • Supervises Procurement Officers in Buying and Tenders section.
• A degree in Procurement or equivalent. • A member of a relevant professional board such as the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, Supply Chain Association of Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe Institute of Procurement and Supply would be an added advantage. • A clean class 4 drivers' licence. • At least 5 years experience in a similar environment
