ZIMBABWE EZEKIEL GUTI UNIVERSITY

Zimbabwe Ezekiel Guti University (ZEGU) is inviting suitably qualified personnel to fill in the following posts:

Duties and Responsibilities

Specifically, the incumbent's duties include:
• Overall management of all strategic business development plans.
• Working to stringent targets, and to adopt a professional and knowledgeable approach to each new business call.
• Planning and coordinating the implementation of business plans
• Sitting in committees as a strategic business partner, Business Development Committee and advising the Vice Chancellor on the same through reports.
• Identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives to develop and improve the business
• Draw up client contracts or MOUs in consultation of the Vice Chancellor
• Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
• Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events and representing the university in external committees
• Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
• Furthering the university's interests by networking with business organizations across the world
• Oversee the revenue generating activities in all other departments in University and advise on feasible strategies

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications and Skills
• Be a holder of an earned Doctorate Degree from a recognised University with a minimum of twenty (20) scholarly publications in reputable journals as at the time of appointment. Full or Associate Professorship would be an added advantage,
• Have at least five (5) years working experience at the level of Dean or Senior Management position in a Higher and Tertiary Education or Research institution.
• Have proven management capacity including knowledge of financial management, strategic people management and be able to generate financial support from both public and private sectors,
• Excellent entrepreneurial skills including proven budgetary, management and teamwork skills in an academic institution, and clear understanding of the social, financial and political implications on decisions made.
• Ability to collaborate and relate effectively with all the University stakeholders including external bodies/ regulatory or government institutions/ senior industry executives and the wider community is a key requirement to achieve the University goals and objectives.
• Must demonstrate personal commitment to excellence
