Job Description
Ability to develop activities that are fun and educational for young children
Ability to instruct young children in rules of conduct and learning new tasks
Ability to select the appropriate teaching method and adapt to children's learning styles
Ability to effectively communicate with children and parents
Proficient active listening skills to understand and adapt to the various needs of children and parents
Patience and compassion suitable for working with young children
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and
use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play.
Attend to children's basic needs by feeding them, dressing them, and changing their
diapers.
Teach basic skills such as colour, shape, number and letter recognition, personal
hygiene, and social skills.
Establish and enforce rules for behaviour, and procedures for maintaining order.
Read books to entire class or to small groups.
Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental and social
development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and field trips.
Qualifications and Experience
5 O'levels
Degree/ diploma in education
Computer skills is an added advantage
