Job Description
The incumbent shall be responsible to assisting patients (employees and sporting personnel) in rehabilitating physical problems caused by illness, injury and disability through treatment by applying a range of physical therapy and rehabilitation techniques to the highest standards of GreenFuel (Pvt) Ltd. Should perform any other duties as instructed by superior.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Reviewing patients complete medical history and medical records (i.e., prescriptions, current and past conditions, treatment, medication etc).
• Planning treatments, reviewing recovery and conducting therapeutic exercises with patients according to the nature of the problem or condition.
• Administering a wide range of manipulations, exercises and treatments using physiotherapy and rehabilitation equipment.
• Assisting patients and their families with emotional, practical and psychological advice and support to help them cope with the recovery process.
• Promptly and accurately recording all developments in the patient’s medical records and for liaising with doctors, nurses and other medical staff, as and when required.
• Showing patients exercises that they can perform on their own at home (and correcting any incorrect posture / movements).
• Adjusting plans and prescribing new treatment, where necessary in consultation with the medical practitioner(s) at hand.
Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum of a Diploma in Physiotherapy/Medical Rehabilitation.
• Minimum of 3 years experience covering sporting.
• Strong interpersonal skills to be able to communicate with patients and their families in a professional manner and show understanding and empathy.
• Ability to prepare clear and concise reports.
• comply with very strict rules on privacy and the protection of personal data to protect patient confidentiality.
• Knowledge of various forms of physical therapy (e.g., manipulation, massage therapy, postural therapy)
• Ability to apply pain alleviation methods.
• A passion for helping people.
