PAYROLL SUPPORT OFFICER

Duties and Responsibilities


What we expect from you
 Ensure SBUs submit all payroll inputs such as overtime, allowances payments and absenteeism returns before the stipulated deadlines.
 Compile and capture payroll inputs/changes onto payroll and print Audit Trail for checking by Payroll Administrator.
 Post net salaries payments and staff costs uploads on a monthly basis.
 Email payslips for Non Managerial staff members.
 Maintain records of all payroll related documents.
 Process terminations on payroll system and other requisite entries.
 Prepare and post month end journal entries and payments for third parties i.e. NSSA, WCIF, ZIMDEF, ZIMRA, garnishees, medical aid, funeral scheme, pension fund, and send payment confirmations to the relevant parties.
 Process loan applications in line with Policy.
 Prepare payroll leave administration as per leave returns.
 Process Pension Fund, Medical Aid and Staff Funeral Scheme additions/ deletions and withdrawals.
 Capture and post school fees payments employees.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications, Skills and experience required
 A Degree in Business Studies or equivalent.
 A full professional qualification such as IPMZ Diploma, Payroll Management or similar is essential.
 At least 3 years’ experience working in a similar role.
 Good communication and presentation skills and ability to relate well at all levels.
 Flair for attention to detail and ability to consistently produce accurate work.
 Knowledge of payroll systems, MS Word, MS Excel skills and accounting principles.
