Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following positions:
Duties and Responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Carryout all painting jobs on new projects and maintenance works
• Produce BOQs for materials to be used, give correct specifications of materials to be procured, certify deliveries done by suppliers, give scope of works to be outsourced, work with all external contractors and supervise them on all building refurbishment and rehabilitation works
• Regular inspection of all paint works and remedial anion thereof
including production of a preventive maintenance program.
• Assist in other maintenance works such as plumbing, brickwork, tiling, welding and electricals.
• Training of Subordinate staff and students
Qualifications and Experience
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Class 1 Journeyman Painter
• 50 Levels including Maths and English
• 3 Years post qualification experience in an industrial environment
• Working knowledge of other construction trades
• Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision
• Ability to communicate at all levels
• Knowledge of Safety, Health and Environmental systems an added advantage
