Job Description

Maranatha Christian Group of Schools are Registered Cambridge and ZIMSEC centres with Junior and High Boarding Schools in Harare and Kadoma. We are looking for a well-qualified and experienced VPA Teacher at our Kadoma Junior School campus to teach and educate students according to the educational needs, abilities and attainment potential of individual students entrusted to his/her care by the Head of the School.

Duties and Responsibilities

 Teaching VPA and music all grades,
 Creating lesson plans,
 Evaluating student performance,
 Maintaining classroom records,
 Meeting with parents, teachers, and other professionals,
 Updating curriculum, and participating in campus events.
 Evaluating and grading students' class work, assignments, and other papers.
 Supervising projects.
 Preparing course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and hand-outs.
 Carrying out additional research, supervisory, or organizational duties may also be required depending upon the expectations of the Maranatha Christian School.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Bachelor's or graduate degree majoring in the subjects or an approved teacher training program from a well-recognized institution.
2. Post Graduate Diploma in education or
3. Diploma in Education from a recognized Institution at Primary.
4. 4 years’ experience in the teaching of children at Primary level in Private Schools.
5. A further qualification in Music or specialization in Music either at College or University level.
6. Have an appreciation of VPA syllabi for all junior school grades and have experience in delivering it at various levels.
7. Should be able to play various musical instruments and be able to coach these to learners
8. Should be highly computer literate and conversant with many online teaching platforms.
