ActionAid Zimbabwe is a global justice organization working in over 40 countries, taking sides with people living in poverty and exclusion to achieve social justice, poverty eradication and gender equality.
ActionAid Zimbabwe has a vacancy that has arisen under its Danish Television project (Danish Tv project). The overall objective of the Danish Tv project is to empower and transform the lives of young people in Hopely through provision of capacity building and advocacy platforms.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer has overall responsibility for providing coordination and leadership on research, monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning for the grant. The ME&L Officer will strengthen the capacity of the project implementation staff and key stakeholders. The MEL will provide oversight and execute MEAL activities with focus on results and impacts as well as lessons learnt. Support the Project Officer in ensuring AAZ and partner compliance to project agreements and donor reporting timelines, templates and achievement of project results.

Qualifications and Experience

Requirements
The Officer must have: university degree in Mathematics/ Economics/ Statistics, M & E, Social Science, Development or related discipline, an MSc will be an added advantage; at least 3 years working within the humanitarian and development context, with a focus on research, M&E, preferably experience with institutional development M&E; advanced experience with excel, spreadsheets, and database software; advanced understanding of indicator selection, log frame design, and M&E work planning and advanced skills in data collection tool design.
