The incumbent will be responsible for adequate monitoring of the project in line with donor requirements while adding value and improving programming through timely provision of quality monitoring and evaluation information.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key duties and Responsibilities
• Receives project M & E framework, develops it and regularly updates M &E activity plan
• Receives project database, supports data inputs and administration.
• Supports in baseline, midline and end line evaluation.
• Ensures quality control of enumerators and PFAs during registrations and on-going data collection.
• Ensures proper documentation of data collected, monitors, supports and conducts data filing and archiving as per project requirements.
• Provides technical assistance to project staff, partners and stakeholders on M & E systems.
• Consolidates, processes and assesses data at district level for further analysis.
• Updates and outlines detailed definition of each indicator, methods, frequency of data collection and data analysis methods to be used.
• Analyzes data by structuring and organizing it to get a sense of trends, patterns emerging from the implementation of the project.
• Ensures data is accurate and truly reflects project outputs and outcomes by doing regular data quality checks.
• Inputs into project reporting template and produces, compiles and aggregates quality data.
• Produces documents such as Lessons Learnt Summaries, case studies, Most Significant Stories of Change and submits to the M & E Specialist.
• Assists and supports the compilation of project information and maps showing project activities for use at project level.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications
• Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Statistics, Mathematics or equivalent
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in food security or resilience programming
• Exceptional planning and organizing skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
