Our client is looking for a suitable candidate to fill in the position mentioned above.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain excellent operations and standards
• Supervise the storage, maintenance and use of plant and equipment on a theft/misuse preventative basis
• Meet your targets and those of the team as a whole
• Supervise the performance of all duties in compliance with health and safety and all related legal/statutory regulations, professional duties, responsibilities and obligations and insert as applicable
• Responsibility for day to day planning and co-ordination of operation levels, workers, equipment levels and supplies
• ensure adherence to all aspects of safety issues, including mining equipment and raise any concerns with Line Manager
• supporting and tracking the production of the mine from the processing of raw materials through to the shipping/extraction/piping out of the mined product
• immediately report problems/failures that may impact on the organisation and/or its clients/customers to Line Manager
• within designated criteria and adhering to applicable plans (such as emergency planning) deal with issues/problems as they arise to minimise impact on production or immediately refer to Line Manage
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Diploma in Engineering or relevant
• A blasting license
• Experience in gold mining operation
• 3-5 years in a similar role
