Job Description
The incumbent shall be responsible to competently investigate, capture, analyse, record and report all Ethanol process engineering and re-engineering activities towards support of the overall business philosophy. Should be the direct custodian of all Factory documentation as required. To perform any other duties as assigned by superior(s).
Duties and Responsibilities
• To craft new Ethanol process engineering Policies and Standard Operating Procedures and constantly update those existing as required within the Factory departments in direct consultation with Line Management and HR Training department.
• To participate in the quality management system process through being the overall custodian of all the systems documentation.
• To craft and combine all policies and SOPs into an Operations Manual document which outlines the road map of achievements as related to all Factory processes optimisation i.e. Milling, Laboratory, Distillery and Mechanical and Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering.
• To capture historical stages and phases of Factory operations developments from inception, development, losses, remedies and achievements.
• Interface with all Mill Operations activities during production, maintenance and off crop shutdown.
Qualifications and Experience
• A Degree in Industrial/Process Engineering.
• Completed graduate traineeship with in a heavy manufacturing/process industry preferably sugar milling and power generation.
• Computer literacy (MS word, excel and PowerPoint).
• Good in statistical process control.
• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Strong background on quality systems.
• Ability to read and interpret user manuals.
• Sound process engineering analytical skills as related to processes and equipment at hand.
• A team player with good communication skills.
