Job Description

A new organization that seeks to exonerate wrongfully convicted persons and advocate for Criminal justice reform in Zimbabwe is seeking to recruit an eloquent and witty individual with a legal background to join our team. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidate to fill in this position

Duties and Responsibilities

Internal Communication  Keep the affiliate’s digital sites (website,, Twitter,Insta,LinkedIn, YouTube Facebook, etc.) up to date with relevant information as and when required) Disseminate internal communication through available tools (frames, emails, WhatsApp, surveys etc.)  Liaising with other partners and stakeholders to ensure regularity and conformation  Digital Media Management  Approve monthly social media content plan by the Organisation  Manage social media feedback and comments  Analyze monthly social media reports and assess them  Update website, internal WAT platform with all relevant news  Media representation  Contact members of the media to set up interviews with company representatives  Liaise with the media houses in identifying strategic opportunities to promote the company’s business.  Ensure optimum readiness in unlikely event of media crisis or news item with concise and accurate information  Placement of adverts and editorials in print, radio, billboards  Event Coordination  Coordinate all internal and external events and manage all suppliers and service providers to ensure quality events  Facilitator at all events  Marketing & PR campaigns  Liase with service providers for procurement of quality promotional and advertising material  Managing sponsorships and partnerships  Ensure norms and organisation guidelines are fully adhered to as according to Organizations by-laws.

Qualifications and Experience

 A minimum of two years legal experience
 A Bachelor of Laws Degree from an accredited University ( A Masters degree will be a added advantage)
 Registration with the Law Society not a requirement .
 Experience in building ,leading and/or motivating the productive work
 Sound judgement , a high level of personal and professional confidence and strong interpersonal ,diplomatic and communication (verbal and written ) skills
 Social savvy
 Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a high pressured environment
 Ability to work independently ,assess priorities and take initiative to excel without significant supervision
 Passion for the Initiatives mission and a commitment to criminal justice reform
 A sense of humour
 Ability to travel extensively
